  Outdoor and indoor seats are available. The space is spacious and clean with cute design. Coffee is authentic, food is yummy, just a little bit pricy but the service is worth the money. Staff members are super friendly.

  Beautifully plated, fresh produce and amazing coffee. It's been seven years since we last came to Tasmania, and Richmond tops the list for some of the places we love. We stumbled across this gem while looking for a place for my birthday and a meet up with friends, and it did not disappoint! We wanted to drop by once more before our departure, but sadly it was closed. Nevertheless, we'll be back again for sure.

  We had a delicious lunch - the 18hour beef with cornbread and the pot pie. Staff were very friendly and the venue is perfect for a warm outdoor lunch.

  I think they changed the name of the place to Wattlebanks. The food's great, had the leek and cheese arancini, which was pretty simple but was really tasty.
  It's good to sit outside when the weather permits it.

  NOT IMPRESSED! My Filipina wife, her two adult sons and I, visited the cafe on Sunday August 21. We were offered a table, but told we had to leave by 1 pm because that table was booked for someone else. When we ordered only three main courses and one side, we received the 'rolling of the eyes' treatment from the waitress. We explained that one of our party had just eaten and was not particularly hungry. Next, the smaller plates on the table were whisked away, along with a sarcastic comment from the waitress........." unless you're going to share".
  
  The food was nothing special, considering the prices being asked. The 'twice cooked' pork looked more like a slice of rolled pork roast swimming in a sauce of baked beans. $28. I had a house pie..not very tender beef cooked in red wine with a pastry top, served in a small ramekin, a pile of skinny frozen chips and a handful of lettuce drowning in an oily dressing. $24.
  
  Throughout the meal, the owner stood at the table adjacent to us ,chatting to 2 female acquaintances about the state of business in Richmond. She kept glancing at out table as if she was worried we were going to steal the silver ware. My wife was very upset by the condescending attitude shown by the waitress and the owner, and vowed never to return to this pretentious cafe. All up, it cost us nearly $100 for a very unpleasant experience. We have been to restaurants all around the world, and have rarely encountered such abysmal customer service as we did at the Stone and Barrow. Definitely NOT recommended. Could it be that the 3 initial 'rave' reviews were written by friends of the owner.
